Chocolate Chai
Chocolate Chai

Tis the season for chocolate and masala chai, and we asked what would happen if we put the two together? Pu’er tea provides a malty base for the flavors to build on, and real chocolate chips melt during the steeping process, lending the tea a chocolatey sweet goodness. Spices such as ginger and cardamom contrast with that sweetness, creating a wonderful wintertime drink.
Tasting Notes: Chocolate, malty, medium body, ginger, slight spiciness, mild sweetness.
Drinking Recommendation: Hot with milk and a pinch of sugar.
Product Note: 1 ounce of loose-leaf tea typically yields 5 to 8 cups of tea.

My 18 year old granddaughter and I love this tea. It has real chocolate chips. It helps melt them if you stir before staining. We also like that it is a milder spice flavor than many chai tea mixtures. There are a lot of spices just not the more peppery ones.
Take my advice with a cup of tea because I'm a coffee person at heart, but I love adding a teaspoon of chocolate chai to my french press with 4 tablespoons of coffee (this is for 2 cups/16oz of water). Not quite a dirty chai but something in that vicinity. Cheers!
So thankful for Christmas in July!! Chocolate chai is my fav.
Wherever I go I take this tea with me. With a pinch of sugar and a little bit of milk it starts my day off right! Hope it never goes away!!
This tea makes me look forward to every morning.
